Week One - Just 4 more days until BLAST OFF!

It's almost here! Week one of the FIRST EVER Summer at Miss. Sarah's Camps! I'm thrilled! And week one couldn't be a theme that excites my family more...SPACE EXPLORATION. We're going to be exploring/learning/testing/creating so much awesomeness next week. 

One of the things I'm really excited about is our NASA challenge to solve the Orion vessle's radiation issue. The kids will be testing various materials and their shielding abilities against radiation (well, we'll be using flashlights...). After testing, the campers will CREATE their own Orion Shields! We'll report back to NASA our findings and the campers will get certificates from NASA celebrating the completion of their mission. Pretty cool, huh? 

Announcing....EPIC STORY WEEK!

Hey everyone! I've added a new camp! Ready to Rock camp (June 24-28) is now EPIC STORY WEEK! What is EPIC STORY WEEK? Well...we will be exploring some of the BEST epic stories found in children's literature..."Bridge to Terabithia," "The Hobbit," "The Incredible Journey," and more. THEN, we'll be writing our own epic tales of adventure, questing, and character growth and converting our stories into scripts. Finally, the campers will get to FILM their epic movie and learn the basics of movie editing as they put together their own You Tube film! 

The camp costs $80 and runs Monday-Friday, June 24-28, 2013. Email me at springhillsarah@yahoo.com to sign up! Early drop off and late pick up is an option for an extra fee. This camp is for children ages 8-12.
